Annual Conference

Children in a local community served by Teach For India
Mumbai 2011
Every year, Teach For All hosts a week-long gathering of our global staff, the CEOs of our network partners, early stage entrepreneurs working toward inclusion in the network, donors and investors, and board members. Convening hundreds of stakeholders from across the world, Teach For All’s Annual Conference provides a unique opportunity to connect and celebrate, build relationships with peers across the network, share critical knowledge, and plan for the year ahead. Previous conferences were held in Berlin (2009) and London (2010).

2011’s Annual Conference, held in Mumbai and organized with network partner Teach for India, offered the Teach For All community the opportunity to experience, reflect, share, and learn. Together, staff, partners and supporters were immersed in understanding more about educational inequity in India and Teach For India’s approach to fueling the movement to address this problem in their nation. Participants discussed how to build more impactful movements by fostering transformational teaching, accelerating alumni impact, and achieving greater scale.

Like many network partners, Teach for India is deeply committed to ongoing reflection and putting students at the center of its work. Conference activities and content reflected this approach, and included opportunities for all participants to engage in experiential activities in local communities and schools.
